The 5'6 guard is a decorated complete player who can do it all. Kyla Smith showed every skill set she has at SimpsonElite Runs. Smith put the gym on notice with a MVP effort of dropping 28 points. Smith has a nice handle, can shoot a set shot, or off the bounce, she made the tie winning basket with a pull up three that sent the game to OT. What impressed me most was her ability to make acrobatics layups with either hand, it was a show to watch. Smith has quick feet which helps with her lateral movements when defending on ball. She is a pest on the defense and is not afraid to dive for a loose balls. With college coaches praising Smith ability to start the break off a rebound and taking it full court for a finish was pretty much how the run went. Smith is in her Senior season at Carmel Catholic High School, I'm expected a break out year for the senior guard.
